prologue

Color. I tried. I really tried. I had a couple of readers say, “Hey you should color the pages, it would make the art look so good”. And yes I think it did make the art look better. But I just can’t keep it up. You see it doubles my time. so I do the same page in twice the amount of time. So for the time being until I can afford some inking and coloring people, the comic is just going to be in black and white with an occasional page in color when it serves the story. You understand right? I really want to keep the story going forward and the coloring is just too much, I mean I haven’t even got to the intern work of 2011! I gotta keep the story moving ahead. Okay now on to other things. WE ARE CHANGING AND ADDING MANY COOL THINGS. You will notice that there are buttons that pop in and out of the sight or a couple of dead links? Well sir, we are growing and adding new team members to the Aydellon behind scenes cast. So please please forgive me if the page is not up or something is not working properly we are really working hard, but, well .. you know , it’s hard. So thank you for your patience, I think you will really like the new changes coming up. so stay tuned………oh and apparently I am getting alot of “bots” on my site. I am told that is bad. It sounds pretty cool like matrix type robots searching my site and I have to power down my computer and hope that they leave and then they don’t so I have to shoot them with this huge ray gun.. yeah…. ray guns are cooool.

okay back to work.

paper rock and scissors

by Leo on February 1, 2012 at 7:32 PM

I understand that Scissors can beat Paper, and I get how Rock can beat Scissors, but there’s no  way Paper can beat Rock. Paper is supposed to magically wrap around Rock leaving it immobile? Why  cant paper do this to scissors? Forget scissors, why can’t paper do this to people? Why aren’t sheets of college-ruled notebook paper constantly suffocating students as they attempt to take notes in class? I’ll tell you why, because paper can’t beat anybody, a rock would tear that paper up in 2 seconds. When I play rock/ paper/ scissors I always choose rock. Then when somebody claims to have beaten me with their paper I can punch them in the face with my already clenched fist and say “oh I’m sorry I thought paper would protect you.

I killed Mufsa!

by Leo on January 11, 2012 at 4:01 PM

I have always wanted to do a scene where the bad guys leans over real close to the hero and then whispers something shocking that only the hero can hear Well as you can see, I have finally done just that. I have seen that leaning over and whispering thing so many times now that I think it is a cliche. It works well though. Sometimes just for for when my wife and I are at church I will put my mouth real close to her ear and say,” I killed Mufsa…”  Try it next time you hug someone, and make sure when you pull away from that said person that you look crafty and give that sly smile. Sometimes I use this when I have done something bad and I know I should confess. For instance, my wife says, ” Who left the seat up on the toilet?!”  I give this confused scared look and let the 4 year old take the blame, then as I slink away I lean in reeeeeal close and say,” I LEFT the seat up”.   I highly recommend this.  Sort of.

a thanksgiving thought

Christianity is “one beggar telling another beggar where to find bread” A friend of mine had this on his facebook post. That is one of the greatest things that I have ever read about Christianity in my life.

It sums up exactly the way I feel about my relationship with myself and others. Christian or Non christian. God is so good, so awesome so, so,…..well he’s GOD!  What can you say to describe God?   Then I look at myself. I see selfishness, pride and general pettiness.  Then I look at others, people in my church,  pastors, authors, family members, friends.  If i spend enough time with them I see the same things that I see in me, in them.  But then there’s God. He is not petty, or selfish, or prideful. Others might accuse him of being so, but that is not the God that I know. So it helps me to think of my self as Gods beggar. Pointing to the Bread of  Life, so other beggars can have some too.  Oh, and hey, while your reading this, hey buddy can you spare a face book share?  C’mon , just hit like!  Times have been hard…No? okay God bless you anyways……..

Home school dad.

Picture of me with one of my students discussing the merits of self control.

I home school my kids. My three children are taught by me. ( well for the most part) I have never heard of a Dad being a home school teacher. Usually its always the mom. You know the mom that wears those comfy looking overall dress type things?  But not in our household, in our home I do most of the schooling. How do I feel about it you might ask? Pretty darn tired. I LOVE MY KIDS. But I don’t have a moment to myself. I used to be a chatty funny person, you know the class clown that loved to make people laugh. Well you know what happens to class clowns?  They grow up and have kids and then home school them. Now I don’t make jokes all the time. I basically enforce the rules all day and night. My four year old starts crying in the middle of a concert (which is a  ”Field Trip”)  and I get to be the one to correct his behavior. All day and night I just enforce and teach about laws. Math has laws, the english language has laws and our house has laws. Then I go to my real job.

A life guard for the county of Hawaii. And what do I there?  Yep, enforce the rules and laws. I LOVE MY KIDS. I really do, I wouldn’t have it any other way. But sometimes, well sometimes … I really do miss joking around and being silly and not having to be the LAW ENFORCER all the time.  One day when I am old and grey, I will once again be the funniest chattiest guy in the convalescent house for retired home school dads.  And then my kids will be like, “Dad, you can’t do that!” or maybe, ” Dad, put your clothes back on!”, and, “Take that chicken off your head!”

Okay, gotta go, My kids are screaming something about flushing a sock down the toilet.
